How long does it take to dry?

Approximately 24 hours.

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® on laminate and luxury vinyl floors?

Yes—Fix-A-Floor® can be used to repair localized areas of glue-down laminate and luxury vinyl flooring. However, it is not recommended to repair laminate or luxury vinyl floating floor systems.

Why can’t I use Fix-A-Floor® on floating floor systems?

Floating floors are intentionally designed not to be bonded to the subfloor or underlayment. Their ability to accommodate expansion and contraction is essential to proper performance. Injecting adhesive underneath floating floors can restrict their movement, leading to buckling, damaged locking mechanisms, and potential system failure.
Glue-down floors, however, are directly bonded to the subfloor, allowing loose or hollow sections to be re-adhered. This makes Fix-A-Floor® the ideal solution for repairing glue-down floors without the cost and time of replacement.

Will Fix-A-Floor® work if I have heated floors?

Yes! We simply recommend keeping the heating element off before, during, and for 48 hours after applying.

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® to fix my entire floor or just a small area?

Fix-A-Floor works great on all area sizes, from 1 tile to the whole floor! We offer several different product sizes depending on your project size. For larger projects check out the Fix-A-Floor Gallon Jug with a Syringe!

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® outside on my patio or deck?

Yes! Fix-A-Floor works great on both interior and exterior applications.

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® on my bathroom floors?

Yes! Fix-A-Floor works great on all floors. However, with floors exposed to moisture, we recommend a 48-hour dry time.

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® in my shower?

No! Fix-A-Floor is not recommended for areas exposed to extensive moisture.

Can I use Fix-A-Floor® to re-glue a tile that has come loose?

Yes, simply apply the Fix-A-Floor Repair Adhesive to the subfloor where the tile was and place the tile back down onto the floor. Place weight on the tile and allow it to dry for 24 hours.

What if I don't see any of the adhesive coming out of the other holes?

While filling Fix-A-Floor will usually come up and out of the other drilled holes. If this does not happen, move to another hole and continue to fill; the adhesive is still traveling under the floor. If you see the adhesive coming back up out of the hole you are filling, be sure you are NOT pressing the tip of the tube down onto the subfloor.

What is the shelf life of Fix-A-Floor®?

Fix-A-Floor should last at least 2 years unopened and kept from freezing.
