This guide walks you through the proper safety precautions and application process for effectively removing leftover adhesive and residue after tile repairs with Fix-A-Floor Adhesive & Residue Remover. Follow each step closely for optimal performance.

Safety Precautions (Before You Begin)

  1. Ensure Proper Ventilation and Personal Protection
    • Work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
    • Wear chemical-resistant gloves and protective eyewear to prevent skin or eye contact with the solution.

Application Instructions

  1. Spot Test
    • Before full application, test the product on an inconspicuous area of the surface to confirm compatibility and check for any adverse reaction.
    • Follow the same method as the full application when testing and allow time to observe the results before proceeding.
  2. Apply the Remover
    • Apply Fix-A-Floor® Adhesive & Residue Remover directly onto the adhesive or residue.
    • For small areas or targeted applications, you may also apply the product to a clean, dry cloth and spread evenly over the surface.
    • For tougher or dried-on residues, allow the solution to penetrate for 2–4 minutes before scrubbing. Do not let the solution dry on the surface.
  1. Scrub and Lift
    • Using a damp sponge, gently scrub the treated area to lift and loosen the adhesive or residue from the tile or flooring surface.
    • Reapply as needed for thick or stubborn spots, always working in small sections for best control.
  2. Final Wipe and Buff
    • Once the residue has been removed, wipe the surface clean with a dry cloth.
    • Buff the area thoroughly to remove any remaining film or moisture, leaving a clean, residue-free finish.
